Features

Separate deployment of NIC policies
- From version 7.5 onwards the NIC policies are deployed independently from the application.
- Nic policies can be exchanged during runtime of the software.
- No downtime required for policy changes
Interface of Nominum ANS nam servers implemented.
- Nominum ANS name server can be provisioned via DomiNIC. DomiNIC supports the Multi Master method of Nominum ANS.
New Resource Record type CAA
- The resource record CAA has been implemented and can be used with the latest versions of BIND, NSD and PowerDNS name servers.
Multi-NIC-Account
- the Multi-NIC-Account feature allows for customer specific accounts with the NICs.
- Current limitation: transfer from one NIC account to another for the same NIC is not possible.

Improvements

Simplification of domain/zone modify orders via Batch API. This makes bulk changes easier.
- Export domain data into the format needed for modifes
- New export parameter to export contact handles only (without contact details) in order to avoid validation issues
- New export parameter for the ‘approved’ flag to avoid confirmation requests for bulk owner changes
Authcodes can now not only be entered for transfer, but also for registrations, deletions and modifies.
Improved page performance of domain details and zonde data
Improved behaviour for zone transfers in cases where the name server can not be queried
Improved validation of phone numbers for nic.at and Ascio orders.
Special requirements for the distinction between owner change and registrant details update (Ascio) can now be specified per TLD
Improvement of the customer selection in the user adminstration. The button ‘Save’ is disabled as long as the customer selection has not been confirmed by clicking ‘Select customer’.
The link ‘Synchronize domain data with NIC’ was moved from the context menu in domain search to the menu ‘Available domain operations’ on the Domain Details Summary.

Bugfixes

Glue records are now transmitted to the NIC for IDN domains.
Orders filtered according to start date can now be exported.
Missing marker for Ascio owner contacts in domain import orders added.
Problem fixed with export of properties from translation manager.
Spaces at the beginning or ending of a redirect target are now ignored,
Fixed problem with truncated TXT records (more than 256 characters) in import orders.
Validation of ip6.arpa reverse zone entries corrected.
Instead of entering the manual queue, import orders now fail when the requested domain does not exist at the NIC.
User defined fields that are deactivated for a user (profile) will not be validated anymore.
Update of the order approval list is now done immediately after approving or declining an order.
The field ‘Registration country-code’ in the Ascio trademark block has been renamed to ‘Trademark country’.
The function ‘Copy Contact Data’ on the page ‘Contact Data’ now also copies the value ‘Street 2’.
Fixed problem in sorting of customer search results.
Fix for: In ‘Settings’ – ‘System configuration’: empty keys generate an error message. The empty keys can now be removed.
Corrected naming of ‘dominic.price.currency’ key in ‘System configuration’.
Language codes are now displayed in the correct language when switching between the languages.
Fixed logout problemso on Jetty client gateways in case of deactivated cookies.
SRV records that only differs in the port value will not override other existing SRV records any more.

Fixes for Ascio
- It is now possible to specify an authcode for modify and delete operations for TLD .my.
- It is now possible to specify an authcode for a register operation for TLD .aero.
- For TLD .ro and owner contact type ‘Person’ Registrant number and VAT number are mandatory.
- For TLD .wien 1-63 characters are allowed.
- Registrant details update added for TLDs .sk, .rs, .bg.
- Update of TLD .ee.

Fixes for Epag
- Added field for identification number for owner contact of TLD .bm.
